When an item is found, it is kept for a regulated period of time to allow its owner time to come forward and request its return.
Every year, numerous items are left behind or lost in the airport terminal. To facilitate their return, an online service is available on the airport's website. It allows passengers to report and claim lost items.
A second life for unclaimed items
At the end of this storage period, unclaimed items are not automatically destroyed. They may be donated to charities to give them a second, useful, and socially responsible life.
In this context, the BACER association of Pré-Bocage recently intervened at the airport to collect several items whose storage period had expired. Among the items collected were clothing, books, and a bicycle.
A useful and supportive approach
This initiative provides a service to passengers by allowing them to recover their belongings, while also contributing to a responsible approach when items are not claimed.
By promoting their reuse through local associations, the airport is thus participating in a concrete action in favor of solidarity and the circular economy.
